Early soccer. We win 2-0. Caitlin has an amusing tea party moment in goal, looking off in the misty distance while the other team comes pounding down on her. Our second half offense basically consists of her tossing mighty throw-ins over the defenders’ heads, leading to repeated not quite successful rushes. As before, the girls were having lots of fun together. Coacherly, even parental fellowship added to the mix. These girls are about to move past us to more august entanglements. This is appropriate, if a little disconcerting. They won’t be supervised as lovingly as they have been. It’s even better, then, that we’ve had these two, these three years with them.
