Caitlin and I drive up to SLC for the boys’ HS state championship. Springville is playing. We have a great talk on the way up. We discover that we don’t have enough money to get us both in. (You have to pay for these?) She goes in and sits with her buddies. I read Mark Twain. A while later she’s back out. We have an even greater talk. Opinions, school, friends, the gospel, life. She’s in great shape, and a superb kid. A wonderful day for me.
