Labour Day, all nice and rainy. We go to the museum. It’s closed. Someone mentions some singalong version of Mamma Mia. I run in and grab ABBA’s greatest, and stick it in as we start driving. Man! What transformations. Who knew that Drew knows all the words, and that she’d be so willing to so pipingly sing them out? Who knew that Sarah has all the background vocals and instrumental parts down pat? Of course she did them comically. Less surprisingly, the youngsters joined in with a will. Sharon was the loudest of all. I listened, and felt charmed and happy. So tacky, so catchy, so wonderful.
