Matt takes his lunch to school. It is still there, intact and untouched, when he gets home. Sharon probes a bit and finds that he really likes getting things from the lunch line. So he’s been doing it every day. The little stamps that indicate the establishment and mounting of lunch debt have not troubled him overly. Sharon tells him he can’t get cafeteria food until 2005. That takes him aback. This is very Matt-like. He knew, clearly, that he was doing wrong. Still, he manages to do wrong in a fashion that is undeniably sweet, and innocent. Children.
